We spent nearly a month with our family and friends once we left Pittsburgh.
It was good to kick back and relax for a while, and of course it's always great to visit family.
Jeff and his dad drove our car to Montana (thank you Tony) and then Jeff stayed for a couple more weeks to "shadow" the dentist office he was going to be working at and to be here when our moving truck arrived. That first week in Montana was quite lonely. It was just him in an empty house with some blankets and a camping chair. And since sprint doesn't get good service in Billings, he didn't have a phone either. It was a looong week, or so he claims.
It's tradition that on Memorial Day we go over to my Grandma's for a Memorial Day breakfast. This year didn't disappoint. Lori and Haley made peach pancakes with a peach cream syrup. They were AMAZING! Following the breakfast, we headed up to visit my Grandpa's grave (that still does not have a headstone). He sure is missed.
Visiting Grandma K
Trey loves this doctor kit. He plays with it every time we go there.
Hanging with cousins at Grandma Wendy's
Dinner at Lori's
Celebrating Paige's Graduation
Jeff arrived just in time for his and my family to leave town. I don't know if it was a coincidence that they left the day he arrived. ;)
We decided if they were going to leave us then we were going to Bear Lake.
We went one night with just our little family and the next night our friends the Kings and the Ashcrofts joined us. Pig and Tara also came up for just the evening.
Bear Lake is always a good time.
Baby Shower for Miss Tosha and Baby Isla!
I'm glad we were able to celebrate Father's Day in Utah.
We had dinner over at Angie's with the whole Wegener clan.
The next day we celebrated my Dad's birthday and Father's day with my family.
Maddox with a few of my favorite girls
[Kelli, Bobbie, Laci, Me]
We frequented El Sol with Jeff's parents.
[notice the foot in the picture... that would be Andy's. haha]
Wegener Family Reunion 2012
(Ang, I may have stolen a bunch of these pictures off your blog... Thanks!)
Jeff's parents are both only children and therefore have zero cousins, aunts, or uncles. Something that is totally foreign to me! So when we get together for a reunion it is him and his 6 siblings and roughly 21 nieces and nephews. We all had a grand ol' time!
We spent lots of time at the pool
Had fun playing minute-to-win-it games
Team "Rottenest Rebels" beat us all by a long shot!
We all enjoyed pampering Kathie on her birthday
Participated in the annual water balloon toss
(okay I may have just watched)
...a lot of us choose to stay behind the scenes and watch from a safe distance.
Tony and Kathie treated us to the dinner and show at Pickleville Playhouse.
I have never been before and I LOVED it!
Trey even got a kick out of it. He wanted to get up on stage and dance along with them!
After the show the cast surprised Kathie and sang her 'Happy Birthday!'
the Wegener Talent Show
I wasn't sure if Andy's talent was walking on his toes or breaking this chair... ;)
We played the family favorite game of "werewolf" every single night. It can get pretty intense!
And on down times we did things like this...
I'm so glad we were able to go this year. I think it's so important Trey and Kate get to know their cousins, and what better way than to spend 3 days at Bear Lake with them!
A big thanks to Tony and Kathie for making it all possible!
Back in the valley....
We did other things such as....
Playing at parks
going to my niece Brynli's dance recital
as well as the Falslev girls dance reviews
walked along the canal to visit the ducks on multiple occasions
took care of Lori's dog while they were in DC and walked over to Grammy's to visit her
rode the Merry-go-round at K-Mart... over and over and over
Went bowling with Jon and Ash
Had a few more girls nights
that included lots of pampering
Hung out at Grandma Kathie's and Papa Tony's
And chilled lots with the fam
It was a good month that went by way too fast!
